Preminuo Mersad Berber

On monday 8th of October 2012. died Mersad Berber, one of the most famous Croatian artists.
Leaving behind his rich legacy which he created during his long career.
He had exhibited all over the world and was awarded many prizes for his works.

His style

In his paintings he brings the sumptuous world of fantastic figurative supported on the Bosnian tradition, the Spanish Baroque and early Renaissance. Cycles: Velázquez; Chronicle of Sarajevo...

History

Born in 1940 in Bosanski Petrovac. In 1963 he graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana in the class of Maksim Sedej, and in 1965 he completed postgraduate studies in the class of prof. Rika Debenjak. In 1973 became assistant professor of Fine Arts in Sarajevo.
